Part L 2010 Explained Empty Part L 2010 Explained

One of the most pertinent issues in building development and design today is getting new-builds to correspond with the government's ever changing legislation as we continue to move towards a so-called zero carbon future.

The Centre for Construction Innovation is holding a half day event at the CUBE in Manchester to examine the latest changes that the government is making to the Part L regulations that are being introduced in October 2010 six months after they were first approved.

Of particular importance to those who design new buildings will be the partial focus that the seminar will have on SBEM v4.0, which for those who dont know is a software tool to help calculate the energy and CO2 requirements that a building has. It goes without saying that the seminar is pitched more to the technical end of the spectrum. At the same time, new construction techniques need to be used to help realise these targets.

Tickets are £99 plus VAT and it's being held at the CUBE Gallery at 113-115 Portland Street, Manchester, M1 6DW on Friday the 24th of September from 9am to 1pm.
